I'm such a tard
Every year our council puts on a music festival called Globe to Globe and it's held in the park up the street from us. They have different food stalls and whatnot and we usually go to try some yummy cuisine. We went and enjoyed some Sangria (non-alcohol) and it was so yummy and refreshing. Matt pigged out on tacos while I had some paella. So disappointed they didn't have any churros this year though :(
Anyway, so I got sunburned this week, where I missed with the suncream, but the worst spots were behind my knees D: It was sooooo hot today and because the park is only up the street from our house we walked to the park and back. It was 35C and I was sweaty and gross and my sunburn was really sore, so as we were walking home I made up this ridiculous dance. My back was itchy because it was sweaty and the backs of my legs were sore from sunburn. Matt even decided to join in my dance, which evolved into looking something more like what the Evangelist would do in church XD Yes, we are tards.
The 'dance' sort of looked something like this (check out my mad drawing skillz):
Yes, the heat fries my brain and I do strange things when it's hot... in public no less.
I managed to finish off the last of my Cert IV TAE work today, so hopefully that means that it's all over HOORAY! I still have work to do, for learner resources and assessment workbooks, plus my lesson plans and now I'm going to be helping with orientation this week and have to prepare something. Not that I have any idea what I'm going to do yet. Oh yeah, and I've been asked to run the Mouse Handling short-course, which is cool. More mulla for me, and it shouldn't be too hard to organise.
I enquired about a few Graphic Design courses. A lot of them are either full-time or they're really expensive :( I found one that I can study after work, two evenings a week. Except that it's $10k D: Yeah, no. I might have to resort to short-courses that aren't too dear...
I miss fandomy stuff. It's been really quiet and I haven't written anything for a while. I might try some drabble exercises to help get me back into it. I can't think lately, so not needing to come up with complex plots and development will be just what I need. I started a Wheeler shuffle challenge a while back that I might keep adding to. I just need to do something.
I'm also going to get back into my business this year. I make cards and sculptures and whatever other crafty things take my fancy. I've sold a few of my photographs at markets too. I'm going to need the extra income this year, and I've not really made or sold anything for over 6 months, so now is as good a time as any. Though the craft room gets really hot and stuffy, so I might wait until it cools down a bit. For anyone that might be interested you can take a looksee here. I have to fix up my website, but I have a page on facebook that has a photo album and some posts and whatnot.
