Started back to work this week. Problem #1--car still not fixed. Adam better have it taken care of today or first I am going to kill him, but not after first fulfilling my adult dream of castrating him personally. (actually he has been strangely been pretty cool lately--Gavin said, "Mom, maybe he wants you back". It was hard to answer that reply without laughing hysterically).
So--I have kept up my summer trend of riding my bike to work. Instead of in the neighborhood for job #2...Glendale on Monday for job #1--not bad I made it relatively on time at 8:30--and then back with 25lbs of stuff in my backpack and bike basket (I weighed it cause I was curious). I am out of money because I had to purchase an alternator and a new battery (which I had to carry home in my backpack yesterday morning--about 50 lbs). Then yesterday I finally get the car to Adam's with the new battery and my bike in the back. I ride from East Mill Creek to West Valley. Get to my site, try and do the work I needed to do, but the computers in our entire network are screwed. So--in effect I rode my bike to West Valley for nothing (about 10 miles from Adam's) On the way home I decided to browse at SAVERS to rest my legs for a minute...found a couple of small things...go out to my bike to find not one BUT two flat tires. I walk two miles to a gas station I know is close to trax..(approached by every strange West Valley kook offering help--what were they planning on doing? pulling an inner tube out of their ass?--or carry me home? hmmmmm -- not to mention the several car honks and whistles I got--cause I was lookin soooo hot)...Air did not really help matters. Get down to the trax station...go over to the platform and there is some crazy fucker with socks and no shoes, his pants totally open and his dick hanging out. (and my cell phone was out of charge).
Didn't get home until after 8. Lucky I had two shots of vodka which I promptly made into a cocktail, and went almost immediately to sleep.
It's funny now--yesterday, not so much.
Like I said....my car better be ready today.
