1974 - Creative Source

[review]
This was the excellent, yet overlooked, follow-up to the debut Creative Source album which featured the mega-hit "Who Is He (And What Is He To You" as well as the original version of "You Can't Hide Love" and a fantastic cover of Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride" (which may have been what inspired Run DMC to use it). Beginning with "I'm Gonna Get There", which even contains an intro of the group as if in concert or at a party, the whole album is infectious. Their single "Keep On Movin'", "Migration" and covers of Bill Wither's "Harlem" and Carole King's "Corazon" (complete with xylophone) continue the groove they were so famous for on "Who Is He", whereas, the songs "I Just Can't See Myself Without You" and Paul Williams' "Let Me Be the One" are the perfect songs to mellow you out. >>
