I am surrounded by idiots who don't know the difference between CATIA and Solidworks and being professionally cock blocked by them. CATIA is high end software. Airbus use it to design and build aircraft. Solidworks is the cheap kiddy version published by the SAME COMPANY that is aimed at the smaller engineering companies who don't feel the need to design aircraft or pay massive amounts of software license each year for things they will never need.
Seriously, being told that you would be no good at Solidworks after 12 YEARS of CATIA experience is like saying you wouldn't be able to write something in Notepad because you have only ever used MS Word.
So yes, as you may have guessed, I was just ever so slightly not impressed yesterday.
