My Life as of Late...
So my life has changed dramatically the last few weeks.
Starting off I have a new job. I still work for the AGO (art gallery of Ontario) but now I'm on the installations team...I can't tell you how great it is not to serve, especially to all of the horrible members of the gallery, no more and I love it.
Mostly the job is a glorified upkeeper, we change burnt out lights and clean plexi cases but whatever, its still pretty great hanging out in the galleries after hours. I do get to help out with actual art installs once and awhile when they need the help and hopefully over time I can do more that then the upkeep but we'll see. They are really great about giving me extra hours, they wanted me to come in today but I need to spend the day relaxing and practicing for my choirs performance tomorrow. I'm quite excited about it.
I just counted the songs we are singing...17. Yikes
I know most of them well, the rest I know well enough. The performance is in a really lovely old church down town and the theme of the show is all of the composers were or are gay. The show is part of Pride and I believe we are in the official program, but I think that we are in it every year, this show is sort of the capper of the choirs year.
Last Friday I helped out with Boylesque TO's annual O'manada show. It was a blast as usual. It made me really miss performing, something I would love to get back into.
Other than that theres not much to talk about. No men in my life but I'm liking it that way, I want to focus on myself so the boys have been kicked to the sidelines and seriously I'm not really missing them that much. I'm reconnecting and focusing on my friends, they are much more important to me then some guy.
Anyways, I hope everyone is enjoying the summer, its been stiffling here lately.
