Had a fairly new experience yesterday. I got invited to come out on the high seas on Steve’s boat, with my good friends Richard and Jordan. Now normally I would have refused to go on a boat (I get terrible sea sickness) but my new found isolation caused by the summer holidays overrode my hatred for ships. So over I went to the marina, to meet up with the guys, and haha! Steve’s boat! It’s tiny xD about 10m long! But it is cute and they use it a lot.
So we waited around for the free tide at the lock (basically where the sea levels match and you can just cruse strait through the lock). So while we waited Richard (who, although I hate myself for it, I still have feelings for, I hoped they would have gone away after not seeing him for 5 weeks) but yeah just him and I made the walk right around the marina, and he explained all the bits and bobs of the place.
So when we finally did get out on the boat it was nice... and it was great to see Jordan steering the boat, he was really in his element out there and I could have painted a picture of him... as we went along Steve pointed out all the sights, and I "oohed" and "ahhed" for his benefit, though it was all quite pretty but I must confess there was a car park in the far distance and out on the water where we where, the sun light was reflecting off them all and it was mesmerizing beautiful.
We stopped out by West Wittering and me Jordan and Richard waded ashore and sat there chatting about nothing. I was watching this particularly mad big black retriever named Wellington which kept bounding about irritating people, which I enjoyed observing. Also in from of us someone had built a sand hole which every dog that passed took a pee in, and a bunch of kids started playing in it LOL if that’s not schadenfreude I don’t know what is!
Over all it was a nice day (I fell quite deeply asleep on the way back ops!) and my mother was nice enough to pick me up, and I chatted to her on the way back about my day... I think the day really tiered me out since I slept for 14 hours strait, after having crazy motion sickness (its weird lying in your bed and feeling your body think its still on the water). Ah well new experiences are always worth the tiredness.
