I've already lost 8 lbs on my running routine of 4 miles/night 6 nights/wk. If I lose another 8-10, I'll be at my "ideal" weight. I base "ideal" on what I'm most happy w/ given how I felt when I did weigh that amt. The funny thing is that it's only been a little over 2 wks, and I'm already about halfway to my goal. I had allotted two months to get to my goal. I guess it just points out that I was further out of shape to begin with than I thought. I haven't even changed my diet drastically.
So yeah, distance running is the easiest way to get in shape quickly. That's not a myth.
