Around the globe, researchers have found potentially unhealthy quantities of industrial chemicals in our oceans. A male orca whale washed ashore off the BC coast in March, and regional environmentalists are considering the carcass to be so contaminated with PCBs, it should be handled as toxic waste. Tissue biopsy of this whale revealed PCB levels almost 90 times the level found in humans. It is believed that PCBs affect an animal’s immune system, whereby making it more susceptible to infection. DFO even considered incinerating a dead orca in an Alberta Toxic waste facility in 2000 because it’s carcass contained PCB concentrations in excess of Canadian ocean dumping standards. HUMANS DESERVE TO DIE!
