show at satellite

Mar 27, 2007 09:31

Well despite the fact that An Angle, Bright Light Fever, and The Actual are all awesome bands, the show at satellite bar consisted of a bunch of drunk, danceless scenesters who SAT and watched the bands.

so
fracken
laaaame.

And golly was it loud.

remind me never to go there again.
it was shite.

I wanted to go to that so bad. Damn my non-21ness.

yeah I was super excited because the bands were sweet-- but trust me, you didn't miss much more than a good long sit and massive hearing loss.

n Angle sounds waayy different than I thought they would-- they've changed their sound a lot I think... more rockish. (i'm guessing due to the massive amounts of "you sound like bright eyes" criticism)

i go to stoney's frequently, i know all about massive hearing loss. hahah

they played sxsw, but i was busy finding circa survive and limbeck's set times and being sidetracked by duane and kevin on the sidewalk outside while they played. oops. i saw them here once, two and a half years ago, but that was still back in "you sound like bright eyes" times and i've missed every show here since due to 21+. do they actually id much at the door at satellite?

hmm good question-- i think they do... I'm not totally sure because, being 21, I just hand them my id whether they ask for it or not-- however, I don't think it's really an easy place to be inconspicuous in.

well, maybe if they have something more acoustic-ish I would go-- I mean, actually, seeing Gabe's band was pretty cool I just wouldn't go unless I felt I REAALLY wanted to see a band.
