[yet again, the Dreamberry captures another moment of Draco's intimate personal life. He sits by his mother's side, one of her hands clasped in his as he speaks. And he is indeed speaking; in fact, the Dreamberry managed to jump in seemingly at the beginning of his one-sided conversation with Narcissa:]-'d wake up soon, Mother. [Katherine wasn't so sure how to approach the situation. It would seem that she had intruded at a rather touching moment between mother and son, despite the woman lying peacefully in bed. It takes her a little while before she speaks up. When she does, there's still some obvious hesitance in her manner of speaking.]

I know it's probably none of my business but maybe you should let your mother sleep a little longer. She seems tired.

She's in a sleep coma. She'll be more tired when she wakes up.

[he's wary of replying to her, as he usually is when it comes to new people learning about his mother before she would like.]

Sleep coma? That's the first I've ever heard of something like that.

[Don't worry, Draco. She won't pry too much.]

It's a phenomenon that occurs rather often here. People are awake one minute, then pass out the next for Merlin knows how long.

Wait a minute. Don't we even get some kind of warning before that happens? Symptoms maybe?

Of course not. That would be considered kind.

I should've figured that there was more to this world than what we've been told. [A pause.] I'm sorry for intruding on you and your mother.

Why are you apologising? It wasn't your fault; the Dreamberry turned on by itself.

But yes, you should have realised that. This isn't precisely paradise.

It just feels odd, communicating like this. And with strangers.

Try being here for two years, and having come from a place where this sort of technology doesn't even exist.

Two years? [She might've said that a little too loudly.] There really isn't a way out of here, is there?

Not willingly, no. By all means, try to find one. And if you do, ring me up.

I'm not sure I'm cut out for that kind of job but if I do find something, I be sure to mention it.

I'm not overly certain that anyone is cut out for that kind of job.

I'm sure they're at least someone looking for a way out though. No one can be that passive and not do anything about this.

Most of us have merely given into our fate. No point wasting energy kicking and screaming about it at this point. [if there were, the first words out of his mouth would be 'FATHER' as soon as Lucius had arrived.]
