First things first: I'm so not worthy of the ridiculously wonderful feedback everyone gave me on my last art post; I'm so excited that the arts were so well received! Since I've realized that I only get a chance to get on the internet on the weekend, it's gonna be virtually impossible to thank everyone individually, but until I get a chance to backtrack and reply, just know that I really appreciate it. I hardly need to tell you guys that you're all fantastic, do I? :)
Also, there are a myriad of birthdays I've missed, but I hope that whether your birthday has passed, happened today, or is coming up, it was/will be kick-arse. Word.
It's been so long since I've been on here to talk about mundane stuff, but I figured I'd just stick a few things out there just because they're random and I am an appreciator of randomosities. Case in point:
1. I just found out they're filming a new X-Files movie. This news paired with the imminent Indiana Jones movie release is enough to make me absolutely disgrace myself. Chris Carter, if you're reading this, just know that if you dare to feature some sort of Mulder/Scully love scene and then proceed to interrupt it with a jacked-up bumble bee sting, I will be severely disappointed!! Now, where the hell is my FBI badge...
2. Bevan and I are finally all moved in to our new condo and we've gone buck-wild with the decorating and the building furniture and the painting! The new place has its quirks (ie. noisy neighbors), but it's walking distance from my job and a stone's throw from Pentagon City, and it's a far cry from the mis-matched post-collegiate apartment we used to live in. We feel all grown up now. :) (Pictures coming soon.)
3. Hooray for fun excursions! The months ahead are gonna be filled with some crazy-awesome stuff, including a trip to New York to see my extraordinarily talented friend Shaun make his broadway debut in
"In the Heights", seeing the symphony at the Kennedy Center here in DC, catching one of the final performances of "Rent", hitting up some local wine/sake tastings, going to Terminus in Chicago, doing the VA Beach Half-Marathon, and - drum roll please - GOING TO ENGLAND. *flails* If you're going to be in the London area in late April, we GOTS to talk. *looks surreptitiously at
alissamora*
4. I'm reading the Kite Runner, which, along with Eat, Pray, Love, is just one of the recently released books that I think everyone should read. Seriously, it's so haunting, it's keeping me up at night.
5.
Icanhascheezburger.com. Why am I the last person on earth to know about this site?!
6. Air Guardsman are apparently the funnest people on earth to go to Vegas with. Nothing quite like going on a business trip with a hoard of recruiters who are hell bent on teaching you to gamble. I came out of that business trip $150 richer and with a VIP membership to the Gold Nugget. Go ANG!
And that's all I can think of right now. Oh, I'm in my new bed enjoying my warm blankets and my pretty blue walls. Now, I'm really done. Have a great Sunday, all, and I'll catch you later. :)
