So, the CH13 client and Boss mutually fired each other last week. He said she wasn't qualified to file, she said she found another lawyer to handle her case.
She asked me for a copy of her file, and I included a set of her forms as they stood when we stopped work.
She called this morning to tell me the forms were wrong and ask me why we listed certain creditors even though she had not mentioned them. This is a common question, and I started to offer her my standard answer and she let me say about three words before jumping down my throat about how wrong and stupid I was. I am in fact not wrong and stupid. We were following best practice. She is the one who doesn't know what the hell is going on.
I said, and this is pretty much a direct quote: "You know what? Boss is not your lawyer anymore. These forms are never going to be filed. I don't see any point in justifying his procedures to you at this point. It will just make us both upset. I'm returning your filing fee to you in the mail today." Then I stopped talking.
She said, "Alright. Good bye."
If she calls me again, she better have a good reason.
