pick up the party line, y'all!
Today I e-mailed the chair of my district to inquire about attending the State Democratic Convention. Looks like I should be able to go as a District 21 delegate. I'll get to see Barack Obama! Whether he's our next president or not, it'll be a blast to see him in person-- and with a killer seat to boot.
It'll also be fun to see the party folks and legislators that I've met since taking my current position. And meet new people too. Good networking, if nothing else.
I'm also angling to attend their Democratic Leadership Institute. It seems that I'm setting myself up to run someday. Maybe I am. (Am I crazy?!) For now, it's learning and networking. And Obama.
