end of project - news
On my side, especially work, because I still spend 45-48 hours at work each week (40-43 hours of work + 5 hours of lunch time), and this do not include travelling time from home to work....
So, I am working on the last stretch of my first project in my new company. We have been designing the project first, like from December to February, and since them I am developping the softare. In 2 weeks, we should be delivering all the functionnalities to the QM (Quality Management) team and from that point onward, we would be fixing stuff.. until the next project. This is a normal project scenario.
Still, even with this short schedule, I am the one responsible to build the structure of the GUI project that will connect to the other project in order to have another developper add things to it because he don't have all the knowledge to build this kind of project. In resume, I am busy busy busy, for at least, the next 2 weeks.
I must admit that even with all this stress and work, I really really enjoy it. It is the kind of challenges that I like to do... Not to be crushed, but building things. I am also involved in the following initiatives in the company.
1- Development standards (coding standards, best practices, etc.)
2- Code Review (I lead this one)
3- Performance Environment backup (Ensuring that no memory leaks, problems, etc.)
4- Build master backup (Build Releases, Deployment, DB generations, etc.)
I told you Mike that I was taking a lot on my shoulders... You know me !!!! ;-)
