Christmas party
I am having my christmas party at work today. We have a cocktail at 6:00pm followed by a diner and probably a dancing evening. I am looking forward to this party in other to meet other people in the company and get to know them.
The only concern right now is Karine who has a hard time with pregant sickness these days. She went to her tennis match this morning and was able to eat well for lunch. Still, she feels drained and went to sleep from 3 to 4:30 pm. I am waiting for her call in a few minutes in order to arrange a meeting at my work so we can get to the restaurants afterwards.
In other news, I had a great informal meeting with the lead programmer of my projects this week. I requested this meeting because I feeled that we were not really productive right now, and we had a hard time producing results. I also explained him how I was feeling about the various meeting we were attending. He was really surprised about my openess to discuss such things and we exchanges a lot of constructive comments which helped a lot getting to know each other. Part of this was that he confirmed to me that it was it first "real" project has a lead programmer. I think that this meeting will help us move further really well in the project and it already produced some improvement and results.....
