Long post is long.
Belatedly as usual the calendar for this month is up! You'll notice that our major event is very interestingly-titled 'Plot'. There's a reason for this.
So, we're going to have a bit of an adventure/survival twist this month. A lot of stuff's going to be happening, so here's a neat little kinda long calendar/list thing so that everyone can keep track of what happens when:
I know that there's a whole lot happening here, and just remember that your characters don't have to react to every single little change. Feel free to pick a part of the event you're most interested and scene that part of it. Because there's so much that could potentially go on during all this, the calendar for the beginning of the month has been left empty so you can feel free to start forward-dating posts if you like (just make sure to clearly label each entry as such.)
ADDITIONALLY, player characters will not be able to come or go from the island during this event, so no one will be able to take a trip home even if they have one saved up from an old quiz.

- October 14th: The buildings on campus begin to disappear. It starts in patches, so characters on higher floors aren't likely to be dropped out of the air or anything like that. Where the walls and floors of each building fade, characters will be able to see grass and sky, as though each building is gradually becoming an empty lot. (The ceiling of the tunnels will vanish as well, leaving them as nothing more than deep trenches in the ground.) Early on in the event, the empty portions of buildings will re-establish themselves after a short time, leaving students feeling as though any destruction they saw might not have been real--as if they were imagining things. The number of NPC students begins to drop. Another effect, one a little more subtle, is that some students will start to forget a certain person--their headmistress, Yuuko. This happens to more and more people as the event goes on, until most will forget everything they know about her.
October 15th-17th: Other structures begin to disappear as well--walkways, the ampitheatre, etc. Anything that has been built is gradually becoming unstable. NPC students, even the teachers, continue to vanish from the island.
October 17th: By this date, it's no longer safe to venture higher than the first floor in any building, lest you be dropped a couple flights when the floor suddenly decides to vanish. There are no teachers to be found on the island any longer, so the only remaining classes are those of the player characters (Anatomy and Herbology) IF those characters desire to continue teaching.
October 19th: NPC students are gone, the garage, vacant lot, docks, Arts Building, Humanities Building, and the ampitheatre disappear completely, and the online network is DOWN. Characters will not be able to post to moksa_u or their journals for a brief time. (You're welcome to make Action posts to the main comm in this time, though.) The staff mysteriously disappears as well. This means that characters will NOT be able to receive treatment in the Athletics Facility for injuries or illness, the Cafeteria will no longer serve any fresh food (though there are still some vending machines around), and the only way to get items from the Bookstore is to steal them. It's not safe to venture towards the library at all, since the magic containing the restricted books is beginning to fade and all sorts of strange things are happening over there. (Pretty much whatever weird stuff you guys can come up with, if you'd like to go in that direction.)
October 20th: More buildings will disappear completely, including the Mech and Tech buildings, both pubs, the Maths & Sciences building, and the Omega dorm. The monthly storm begins to roll in during the evening.
October 21st: The storm worsens and all buildings vanish completely EXCEPT for the Admin Building. It is, however, reduced to only one floor, and locked. How your characters deal with this is up to you--banding together to find food and shelter would probably be a wise choise. They just have to survive until October 23rd, which is when--!
