Exploring the Lands

Oct 22, 2005 20:00

The Predator, Bali, needed to make sure that the other worlds were safe. Make sure that the Aliens weren't taking over. It was something that he was used to. And he hoped that he wouldn't have anything to hunt around here so far. Flying his ship through space he came upon Earth. It had been a while since the Predators had touched Earth. Cloaking ( Read more... )

The Predator looked down at the spiked thing that Snake had placed on his wrist. Bali looked towards the man and gave a nod. "Thank You" He states using Snake's words. Stick around this human long enough and he'd probably learn quite a few words. Good and bad.

Snake looks around at the horizon. No doubt the shooting would draw the attention of who ever was out looking for him.

So... He looks at the Predator curiously. um..

Snake was at a loss for words. He motions toward the 4 wheeler not far away.

We should leave.

Looking out toward the way he came he scans the area but hasn't spotted any trackers yet.

Bali nods, yes, leave. But he looks from the 4 wheeler to where his ship is hidden. Where he'd left it. Then he looks back at Snake again giving another nod. Yes, they should leave. Now. Before people came. Before people came that he would have to kill.

Snake wonders what his companion sees in the distance. Instantly Snake becomes paranoid someone is on the way. Snake starts to walk toward the 4-wheeler. It wasn't a big one and he wasn't sure it could carry them both.

Snake pulls a few things from the compartment under the seat and shoves them into his coat. He didn't really want to leave the four wheeler but he could in truth steal another one later.

He motions for the Predator to follow and heads out into the field. Before long it becomes clear that there is something hidden up a head. Snake bends down and yanks a rope revealing the apache he had left out here for his get away.

Snake doesn't wait to get in though he does wait for his new companion to join him before starting up the rotor. Chopping a head off was not a good way to start a friendship.

Bali follows Snake, though in truth nothing was following them. And soon he would have to return for his own ship. Though he wasn't worried about anyone finding it and if it did get moved he'd be able to find it again. A Predator never loses his ship. Stepping into the apache, he cants his head and looks out the door a moment watching the rotating blades a moment above his head before stepping back in and staring at Snake quizzically. This must have been another human contraption like the one before.

Snake watches the Predator. This was like dealing with Xena he mused, curious about everything, completely clueless. This was far worse. at least Xena he didn't have to teach english. He sighs. and screams over the sound as teh helicopter takes off.

Helicopter?

He raises his brow knowing this man.. creature.. thing was clueless. He had seen that behavior before and she too had been clueless.

Helicopter? That was somewhat beyond the Predator's comprehension but he gives a nod anyways. "Ship?" Perhaps humans called their helicopter's different things. And when the thing took off he gives a slight nod to himself. It had to be a ship in order to lift up off the ground. Or at least to his knowledge it did anyways. His eyes scanned over the controls, all the buttons and switches much like his own ship but his ship had even more controls to it.

Yeah, a ship.

Snake nods as he watches him study the controls. Snake let it be and looked out over the horizon.

Fuck!

He looked at the military vehicle ahead. Sure it looked like a truck but his traning told him what was under that tarp. He smirked and openend the fire control cover.

Hold on.

he said to his companion. Not like he would understand. Snake brought the helicopter dangerously low to the ground and got ready. The tearp came open and he took the helicopter quickly back upo. Watching the display he centered the missle and fired. It was a great feeling to see the prople scatter and the truck burst into flames. He smirked not seeing anymore int he immediate area.

Bali watched more in fascination than anything else as they swooped down and Snake set blaze to the vehicle below them. Giving a smirk, not that Snake could see it, Bali sat forward a bit as another truck entered the vacinity. The plasmacaster raised up and targeted the said truck before firing and rather than setting the truck on fire, a big explosion happened throwing the truck and whoever or whatever was in it into a million different directs. Leaving nothing but debris.

Snake watches in awe. Now that was a weapon. The blast did cause the helicopter to rock and Snake had to fight to maintain it's altitude.

Hell yeah, now that is a fucking weapon.

He says giving the Predator a firm pat on the back having momentarily forgotten it wasn't a human sitting next to him.

The Predator grabbed the dash in front of him when the 'ship' rocked. Well, okay, helicopter... ship. It was all the same to him. When Snake pats him on the back though Bali cants his head and stares at the human. But there was a gleam in the Predator's eyes. Something that said the Plasmacaster wasn't the best weapon in his arsenal. That it wasn't the *only* weapon he had that had a similar effect. After all, it did have remote bombs.

Snake feels that there is a destructive deviousness about this well humanoid that he was very fond of. It returned his thoughts to bank robbery and a huge smirk spread on his face.

After a while with no further encounters Snake motions toward the steering controls in front of the predator. The second set did not have firing controls and something told Snake he sould be greatful for that.

Learn to fly?

Bali stared down at the controls in front of him then looked over at his human companion then back at the controls before taking them. Though these controls were a bit different than the ones on his ship, so yeah, there would be quite a bit of rocking the helicopter until he got the hang of the controls.

After the first few gut wrenching bumps Snake decides to unbucle his seat belt just incase he needed to jump. Though after a while his companion seems to get the hang of it.

Snake tries to explain some of the other controls to the Predator though he can't be sure if he actually understands or not. Things like the Altimeter and wind variance scales were hard enough for a human let alone someone who doesn't speak English.

Hours pass and vaguely in the distance Snake can start to see New York. They had already passed over Chicago and Cleveland though Snake didn't stop fearing what his friend might do at an airport.

And Bali understood more than what Snake thought he did. After learning the controls he gives a slight nod. Now all he really needed to know was where Snake wanted this thing to land. If they were landing.

Snake motioned toward one of the buildings.

On top of that one.

He says warily hoping still that this creature understands. He still wasn't sure exactly how much he understood of what was being told to him.

The top of the building had a huge blue circle on top of it. The landing pad. Snake glanced at the Predator about to explain but sticks instead to explaining how to land with out crashing and bursting into a ball of flames above New York City.
