Edgar cursed quietly as he pulled the door to the Technical Sciences building closed behind him, water pooling around his feet and sheeting off his jacket. The trip from the Boy's dorm room had been one of the more harrowing runs he'd been on in his life; the storm was more fierce than anything he'd have imagined could be brought about by nature. If anything, it seemed worse than the last storm he remembered here, and the benches and tables in the park seemed to be straining against their fixtures as he ran past them.
Wringing the water as best he could from his hair, he quickly began to make his way toward the garage, his head jerking with each peal of thunder. At least the Lady Yuuko had managed to soundproof the buildings to a great extent; his ears were still ringing from the pummelling they'd taken on the way over. The sound of water dripping from his sodden cloak and the muted clipping of his boots were the only sounds in the hallway as he passed the darkened demonstration rooms. Nearing the garage, a particularly bright bolt of lightning seared the night and was followed a few heartbeats later by the loudest thunderclap he'd yet heard - inside or out. Picking up his pace, Edgar reached the double doors to the garage and pulled them open.
"M'Lady?" he called out, his voice edged with concern, "Rikku? Are you there?"
