((ooc: I hope you don't mind, but Ahiru has invited Daisuke to the party. XD))

After meeting up with Daisuke and figuring their way around the tunnels, Ahiru arrived back at the girl's dorm. She managed to remember which room Chibiusa had said as hers and knocked on the door.

"Chibiusa? It's me, Ahiru!" she called.

((OOC: Not at all - the more, the merrier))

As on edge as she was, the knock at the door caused Chibiusa to nearly jump out of her skin. After recovering for a moment, she ran across the room and flung the door open. "Oh, thank goodness you're here!" She exclaimed, her fear etched plainly upon her face.

Ahiru had known Chibiusa had been frightened, but by the look on her face she could see she was a lot more scared than she had thought.

"Are you alright?" she asked right away.

Chibiusa nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay now. I just REALLY hate thunderstorms, and I'm not used to being alone in them. I guess I overreacted a little," she added, a little sheepish. Opening the door wider, she stepped aside. "C'mon in, make yourself comfortable."

Daisuke was hovering behind Ahiru, fidgeting a bit and clearly a little embarrassed at being in the girls' dorms. He managed a small smile at Chibiusa, stepping inside the room. It really wasn't all that different from the ones in the boys' dorm, and he relaxed a hair.

"That's okay. Lots of people are scared of thunderstorms," he said reassuringly. "They are pretty noisy."

"Yeah - my roommate Rikku is really scared of them. She's in the garage right now. I tried to get her to come back, but she's too afraid - but Edgar's gonna go and make sure she's okay." Chibiusa flopped down onto her bed, visibly relaxing. "Thank you for coming over, Ahiru - you too, Daisuke. I appreciate the company."

Ahiru walked over to the window where she could watch the rain flow down the glass. Everytime thunder clapped she jumped just a bit, but only out of surprise.

"No problem!" she replied with a laugh. "Thunderstorms are always better when you aren't alone!"

"It's a lot quieter inside than it is outside, at least," Daisuke noticed. "Especially underneath in the tunnels. I wonder if Yuuko-san did something to keep some of the sound out."

"In the tunnels? Really? Maybe I'll hide out down there next time, if it's quieter." Chibiusa looked over past Ahiru and out the window, and shuddered a little. "We don't have storms this bad at home - my mom is waaay more scared of storms than I am. She'd be freaking out right now." Chibiusa giggled a little. "I guess I'm not that bad."

"It was quiet down their wasn't it?" Ahiru said with a bit of a clueless look. She thought of what Chibiusa's mother was like. The concept of parents was always a strange one for her.

"Do you miss your mom?" she asked curiously.

"I don't think my mom's scared of anything," Daisuke deadpanned, thinking of Emiko and the numerous deadly traps she set for him daily as part of his 'training'. "What's your mom like, Chibiusa?"

Chibiusa laughed as both Ahiru and Daisuke mentioned her mother. "Mama? She's great - she can be all smart and wise one moment, and silly and irresponsible the next. Everyone tells me I'm just like her-" here she frowned "-but I think I'm more like my Papa instead. Mama hasn't changed a bit since she was my age. I guess I don't really miss her that much - I don't see her very often at home, anyways. And I'm used to being away from home now."

"That sounds kind of sad. You shouldn't get used to missing your mom," Daisuke said with a small frown, sitting down crosslegged on the floor. Granted, he'd never even met his father until he was 14, but that was something else entirely.

"What about you, Ahiru?" he asked, turning to the redheaded girl. "What's your mom like?"

"My mom?" Ahiru's voice sqeaked and she quickly averted her eyes out of nervousness. "Ah...I don't know really. I don't ah...remember my parents," she replied. It wasn't a lie really, even as a duck she didn't remember her parents. She'd always been the little duck on the pond, by herself.

"You don't remember your parents? That's so sad!" Chibiusa jumped up from the bed and hugged Ahiru. "I'm so sorry, Ahiru! I won't mention it again, I promise!"

Ahriu let out a surprised gasp as Chibiusa hugged her. She hadn't expected that to happen.

"D-don't worry about it Chibiusa!" Ahiru replied. "It doesn't really make me sad or anything, I have Fa-my friends now so it's okay!" she stammered.
