Rikku was heading down the hall, kitty collar in hand when she spotted Kairi. She smiled broadly and waved, the bell on the collar jingling a bit. "Hey, you must be new here," she said. Realizing that the other girl might wonder how she knew that, she added, "I mean, you look sort of lost and stuff. Or maybe like you're looking for someone?" That's right, Rikku. Just dig the hole as deep as you can.

Kairi froze-- someone had shown up behind her, and it scared her. She didn't know what kind of people were going to be here, but when she turned around, she felt relieved. This girl looked pretty harmless, but her words began to annoy Kairi.

'You must be new here.' Is it that obvious...? 'I mean, you look sort of lost and stuff' Who is this girl..? I'm not lost, my room is right there! I mean, sure I don't know where I am, but... I mean... Ugh... 'Or maybe you're looking for someone?' ... Do I really look that pathetic...?! Damn... Well, I can't exactly be mean... I don't even know her. And she might know where they are!

Through the annoyance, she smiled, though a small anger mark was apparent. "Eheheh... Yeah, I'm new... Not lost, but I'm looking for someone. My name's Kairi... And you are...?"

The blonde girl smiled warmly. "My name is Rikku. It's nice to meet you, Kairi. Maybe I can help you find who you're looking for? I was just on my way to a study session. See, my friend Riku - he has the same name as me! Weird, huh? - needs to do something with lightning for Electrical Engineering. And since we're in the same class together, I thought that I'd help him."

Kairi gasped, covering her mouth. "Riku...? What does he looke like? Silver hair? Tall? Green eyes?!" Her voice began to raise, and she started talking faster and faster. "Is it him? I need to see him! Please, take me to him!" She cried. If she was reacting like this with Riku, she couldn't imagine how she'd react to Sora. She hadn't seen him in even longer...

"Uhm... Yes, yes, and yes," she replied, answering the questions in order. She stepped back a little at Kairi's outcry. Okay... she seemed to want to see him. Pretty damn bad, actually. "Uh.. I'd love to, but see, it's a study session with the teacher, Larxene. She's pretty insane, and if someone not in the class shows up, she'll flip. He'll probably go back to his dorm afterwards... I can give you his room number if you want." This girl was starting to creep her out a little. Sure, she could understand being excited to see someone if you hadn't seen them in a while, but this girl was just a tad bit... overzealous.

"Oi, Rikku!"

Riku sighed, jerking at his collar slightly as he muttered to himself, a few books kept on his hip. "Larxene made me go looking for you. Hurry up, would--" he paused, seeing a redheaded girl right in front of her.

"Kairi?" he asked in disbelief.

The blonde girl waved over Kairi's shoulder. "I was on my way, I swear! Then I met Kairi here. She said she knew you, and I was gonna give her your room number so that you two could meet up later." Thank God, or Yu Yevon, or whatever deity people were worshipping these days that Riku had shown up. It saved her the trouble of dealing with this easily-emotional girl. Not that she wasn't one herself, mind you. In general, this just saved the lot of them a huge headache, she was sure.

Kairi wasn't even listening to Rikku anymore. [NO OFFENSE. >>;] After seeing the silver-haired boy she'd known for so long, she was too excited to pay attention to anything-- or anyone-- else.

Without hesitation, she jumped forward, tackling Riku to the ground. "Riku!!! It's been so long since I've seen you and I've been so worried since you disappeared but I was worried before because Sora disappeared and now everything's gonna be alright because you can help me find him and... and... and..." She started to breath now, sitting on top of him and looking down, showing that she was tearing up, her bottom lip trembling.

"Oh, thank god I finally found you...!"

What was with all that noise outside in the hallway?

Sakura walked over to her dorm room door as she put in the second of the two earrings, opening it and peering outside. She found quite a strange sight.

"Uh...?"

Riku stared at the girl's surprising strength. "Uh, hey, settle down." he chuckled uneasily, "Sora's here, on cam... pus..."

He heard the door open, and glanced over at Sakura. "I swear," he smiled faintly, "I'm surronded by estrogen. Uh, Kairi, you're straddling me. I won't be able to breathe in a few minutes. Please get off~"

Rikku was having trouble holding back giggles. That had to be the funniest thing that she'd seen all day. "I'm going to class now," she snickered. She waved and grinned at Sakura as she brushed past Riku. "Have fun," she muttered in his ear on her way by. Once she was a few feet away the blonde girl burst into laughter, and it echoed down the hallway as she exited the dorm building.

Kairi blinked, a stray tear falling down her cheek and onto her chest at the relieving news of Sora's well-being. She muttered to herself. "Oh thank god...."

She then blinked, turning red a bit and getting up off of him. "Uh.. *ahem*... I'm sorry..." She choked a bit, a few more tears falling. She couldn't handle herself at the moment. All the worry that they'd be seperated forever had just been lifted, and months of suppressed feelings had just burst out.

She sniffled a bit, then reached her hand out to Riku to help him up, glancing over at Sakura and turning a little more red.

Sakura couldn't help but grin. "I understand. Friends reunite, and all~" The kunoichi glanced back into her dorm before looking back at Kairi. "D'you.. want some tissues or something?" she asked, sheepishly.

Kairi turned her head to Sakura, smiling through her tears and nodding. "Y-yes, please... That would be nice..." She replied, choking here and there on sobs made from happiness, relief, and a slight sadness for a reason she couldn't quite place.

She smiled and disappeared into her dorm, returning with a few tissues and handing them to Kairi.

Riku took Kairi's hand, shakily standing up. "Kairi, no need for the waterworks," he stated quietly, putting a hand on her shoulder and wiping one of her tears away with a tissue Sakura had given her. "I mean, we're all here."
