Who: Shikamaru, Zaphikel
When: About a couple weeks after this
Where: Shikamaru's and Zaphikel's dorm room
What: SURPRISE!!!!

Zaphikel managed to get the door open and stumble inside, his now shorter hair falling around his face. He didn't remember leaving with so many bags. He made his way over to his bed and dropped the bags on it. He noted Shikamaru was in the room but was to preoccupied with getting these damn bags off his shoulders to care.
Shikamaru looked at the stranger, feeling strangely...angry...that his roommate had been so quickly replaced. "Oi, who are you?"
Zaphikel shook his head, "Honestly Shikamaru. I know I've changed a bit, but it's hasn't been all that much." Zaphikel, after wrestling with his bags, finally turned to face his roommate.
Shikamaru froze, the papers in his hand fluttering to the floor. "Za...Zaphikel?!" he said, eyes wide and voice stunned.
Zaphikel chuckled, "Don't look so surprised."
"But...But, the letter, and the people....You were dead!"
Zaphikel shook his head, "Not exactly. I just..... wasn't myself." Zaphikel said as he tried to forget about what became of him only a couple weeks before.
Shikamaru shook himself out of his shock, and in a move that was somewhat out of character for him, goes over and catches Zaphikel in an embrace.
Zaphikel was shocked by Shikamaru's actions and hesitantly returned the embrace, "Ummm?" He furrowed his brow out of confusion.
Shikamaru steps back. "You, my friend, are almost as troublesome as the people back home!"
Zaphikel chuckled and shook his head. He looked at Shikamaru taking in his appearance.
Shikamaru noticed the slight change of demeanor in the other, and his brows furrowed in confusion ant thought. His mouth opened once, but closed, his question unasked...
Zaphikel laughed at Shikamaru's expression. "Oh, Shika. You're always good for a laugh."
Shikamaru blinks at what the other boy said, gears in his head grinding for a second before it dawns on him. "Wait, you can see?!?!"
Zaphikel grinned, "Surprise!"
Shikamaru has to sit down at that, flopping onto his roommates bed as he absorbs the information after a second, he looks up shapely at him. "Have you gone to see Sai yet?
Zaphikel shook his head, "I've just got back. I was going to drop my bags off and then go see him, but then you glomped me."
Shikamaru's expression goes dry. "I do not glomp...that's my teammate Ino's job...."
Zaphikel smirked, "And mine." He said reminding Shikamaru of the time he had glomped him when he agreed to go paintballing.
"Speaking of, no more of that. Me and Neji....well, let's just say there was a bit of a stressful talk after that...."
Zaphikel nodded, "I talked with him as well."
"Hmmmm...I got lucky, though. It could have ended a lot worse than it did...."
“No it wouldn't have. I wouldn't have taken it that far. But anyway... I'm going to see Sai." He made to leave, but then turned back to Shikamaru, "Ummm, How is he holding up?"
Shikamaru shakes his head. "Not good. I haven't seen him since he got the letter. I'm...I'm really worried about what he might do....."
Zaphikel nodded. He really didn't think that Sai would try to hurt himself, Sai was strong, he was above doing anything like that. "Well, I'm going to see him now. Perhaps I can cheer him up." He said knowing full well that when Sai saw him it would cheer him up.
Shikamaru nods. "Okay. See you later then"
Zaphikel waved a hand as he left the room and headed to Sai's.
