All Gray could do was stare at the smoking place where his door had once been. The fire that was covering him slowly faded, and Gray dropped to his feet. "That... was too weird." He glanced back up at the door again only to see Bakura standing there. Okay, standing wasn't the right word. Bakura was hovering a few inches off the floor. No big deal. Wait. Hovering? As in feet not touching the ground? Gray's wide eyes flicked up to Bakura's. "What the hell is going on here?!"
Okay, seriously not helpful. "If you can float, how is it you're not all the way at the ceiling?" Gray had been having trouble keeping himself where he wanted to be when he ended up off the ground. Control wasn't his strong point it seemed.
"At least you're not blowing things up," Gray grumbled. "If I cared at all what Naruto thought I might feel bad about all of this." He waved vaguely at the destruction he'd caused to the room. The motion cause fire to flicker over his arm again. "Ah! Dang it! Go out!"
Since panic obviously hadn't worked before, Gray decided to try the opposite. He rested his arm at his side and took a deep breath, trying to calm down. Before Bakura even had the chance to get the pillow over the fire was out. Gray's eyes flickered open and he glanced at his arm. "Hey, it worked!"
"Yeah. I tried to calm down since panicking only made it worse last time. I didn't think it would work, but hey, it actually did." Gray grinned. If he could control this it could actually be somewhat cool.
"I still really prefer ice, but this could be neat. If I was able to hover, I might be able to fly." Flying would certainly be cool. Gray could handle fire if it allowed him to fly.
"Sounds like a plan to me," Gray confirmed. Plus, if Bakura was around and Gray happened to light something big on fire he'd have some help to put it out. Always a good thing. "The courtyard would probably work unless you want to hit the rec center so we have a roof." Both had pluses and minuses. They may not fly too far up in the gym, but there were more things to light on fire in there.
Gray was a bit confused with Bakura's last statement, but he didn't comment on it. There was really no point. "Outside it is then! This is going to be awesome!" At least it would be if they could actually figure out how to fly.
