Who: Teito, Open
When: Afternoon
Where: the Park
What: Teito's not having a great time of it.
Rating: PG, maybe PG-13 at most

At this time of day, Teito would normally be in the library, diligently hitting the books for his classes and more... personal reasons. But this afternoon found him in the park, instead; ensconced in the quietest, most tucked away clearing he'd been able to find and fighting viciously against an invisible opponent. It was too nice out to practice in the usual room in the athletics building, and after the long winter, Teito wanted to soak up the extra sunshine anyway. The activity felt good. Cathartic, even. He hadn't been having a good week.

The flickering of Kor at the edges of Teito's senses had been getting increasingly worse since that first morning run with Atem, Yuugi, and Sasuke. They were sharper at times, stronger, closer. Sometimes, there were several there, eating at his senses. But it almost never lasted long enough for Teito to get more than a general direction. The few times he had kept hold of it long enough to start more than a few steps in the right direction, the Kor had moved away as quickly as Teito could advance, staying always the same distance away. It was maddening.

He'd been lucky so far, however. Aside from that first time, his more spectacular reactions had taken place while he'd been alone, and the rest he'd largely managed to brush off as nothing. Teito threw another wicked punch at his imaginary sparring partner before his eyes flickered to the side: there it was again. He bared his teeth in a small, silent snarl, zaiphon whipping around him as he twisted to face it.
