Who: Eriol Hiiragizawa and Rhyme When: Saturday the 19th, afternoon Where: school library What: Eriol meets someone new. Though he would have liked to get to know her better before kissing her. Rating: G; kissing
Rhyme pulled at her skullcap, smushing her blond hair down over her eyes a bit more. "....Where's that book...?" She mused as she stumbled along the aisles, searching. She was only looking for a small novel, something fanciful to fill her time with.
But she nearly stumbled right into Eriol as she turned the corner, gasping. "Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't see you there! I should really watch where I'm going. You ok?"
"Uhm..." Rhyme stared for a moment again before looking around. "...Is there gum on the ground?" She asked, but couldn't figure out why her hands wouldn't move. Was there gum on her hands? No, there couldn't be....
"...I wonder what's going on?"
((Should we say that Rhyme and Eriol have at least met sometime in the past? Or do you want this to be their legit first meeting? :D I'm good with either.)
Eriol glanced around as well. He couldn't see any physical reason why the two of them couldn't separate. It must be something magical. He supposed she was likely familiar with magic from being at Moksa, but he didn't sense anything unusual from her, so he began to work on the problem in the back of his mind.
"I'm not really sure to be honest," he admitted. "But since we're stuck, I supposed I should introduce myself. It would only be polite." He smiled disarmingly. "Eriol Hiiragizawa, nice to meet you."
Rhyme couldn't help the little blush on her face. Why couldn't she get out of this situation?! Since she was always searching for the positive in a situation, at least maybe she could make a new friend now!
"Hi! I'm Rhyme Bito, it's nice to meet you too even if the conditions are a little weird." Laughing a bit, Rhyme tilted her head to the side and blonde hair fell across her face lightly. "So...I guess we're really stuck together then, aren't we? I wonder why..."
Eriol tapped his glasses across the bridge of his nose. "I think it's something magical, but I'm not quite certain..."
He looked around, but saw no one else nearby. And, in any case, they'd have to be a very powerful magician to hide their power from him. Finally, he looked up, and then he paused. And pointed.
Rhyme followed his fingers and blinked up at the mistletoe hanging above them. "...Is that mistletoe?" She asked, tilting her head a bit to the side. "...Does that mean we have to kiss?" She asked, unable to stop from sounding nervous. She'd never kissed anyone before! She was still too young for that!
"I'm afraid it might," he replied, sounding genuinely sorry, "which is not how a gentleman would like to meet a lady for the first time. Perhaps you will let me try kissing your hand first, as compromise?"
"Oh!" Rhyme's blush deepened. "Sure!" She lifted her hand and placed it into his, oddly feeling her heart stammer in her chest. So...this was to be her very first kiss, huh? She didn't expect it to happen on her hand but it was kind of nice, actually.
Eriol lifted her hand to his lips and kissed her politely, hoping to feel the spell fall apart around them. He was almost amused at this very idea of mistletoe. Sure, he'd kissed Sakura when they'd met, but that had been an entirely different issue. He wondered if Yuuko-san had found it unamusing. He wouldn't put it past her to do something like this, but he figured she wouldn't tell him, even if it were true.
Rhyme felt a tangible release from Eriol when his lips lifted off her hand. Blushing still, she took a polite step back and smiled, fidgeting with the fabric around her free hand. "...Uhm...thank you, Eriol..."
He bowed, since there was room enough between them to do that now, and responded, "Thank you for your cooperation." He smiled. "It would have been a bit difficult, had we gotten stuck for any length of time."
Smiling, Rhyme looked back at him. "So...Eriol...Do you want to stay in the library, because if not, I could treat us to a snack at the cafe? I have a lot of credits I need to use!"
"I wouldn't mind a break, since you're offering." His smile brightened. "Perhaps we should get to know each other, since the university has talked us into meeting."
Rhyme adjusted her hat once as she started walking. "You're right! Well, I'm Rhyme," She repeated with a little laugh. "And I'm from Shibuya originally! Where are you from?"
But she nearly stumbled right into Eriol as she turned the corner, gasping. "Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't see you there! I should really watch where I'm going. You ok?"

"It's perfectly all right. I should have been watching more closely as well."
He nodded to her politely and went to take a step away, but found himself oddly rooted to the floor.
