Anzu had gone to the bookstore to get a few more idle items; nothing of great importance of course...she had had the talk with Yugi about everything that had happened with the truth virus, but...she couldn't say she still felt much better.

She was so distracted in her thoughts, she hadn't noticed Linali at that moment whom she bumped into just as she picked up a notebook covered in hearts. "Oh, I'm -" she started to apologize as she looked over at Linali. "Linali?"

When she was bumped into, Linali stumbled back a step but managed to not knock into any shelves or anything. She looked up, ready to apologize as well, and felt her stomach drop when she realized who had knocked into her. "A-Ah, Anzu. Are you okay?" What a stupid question; they'd just bumped each other, really. She clutched one hand to her chest, not at all sure what to say.

Anzu put on a smile and nodded. "Yes, I'm fine. Just out doing some shopping. How about yourself?" she asked.

"The same," Linali replied, clutching her hand even closer. Exactly what was she supposed to say to the brunette? Were they still friends? Did she hate her because she was dating the guy she liked? She managed a smile in return, her mind working overtime on what she should say.

Anzu was stuck. What was she supposed to say to the other girl? I mean, it was - NO!! - wasn't her fault that Atem chose her, but...still...she wanted an apology from him at the very least for not being more forthcoming.

She had to say something. "I... I was just looking at earrings for Mai," she managed, trying hard not to seem as uncomfortable as she really felt.

"I see...," Anzu said. "Normally Mai likes things as flashy as she is" she advised off-handedly.

"She really does," Linali noted awkwardly, not really looking at the other girl's face. This was horrible.

Anzu clenched her fist. This was ridiculous! There was no reason they should have to walk on eggshells around one another. Linali really wasn't the problem here after all.

"Listen, Linali...I'm sure you're probably worried about a few things with this virus having gotten a few things out in the open that I'm sure certain parties would've liked to have kept secret; however, they're out, and there's nothing that can change that. As far as I'm concerned, you're innocent in all this considering I still don't really know you. You're very nice and don't seem like someone who would keep secrets unnecessarily. I just don't like the fact that your boyfriend hasn't been honest with me and that Yugi's had to do things I don't think he should've had to in his place; that's completely unfair to him" she shook her head. "I plan on getting an apology out of him directly."
