Who: Tsuzuki, Eiji, Kazuki, Gray... and I feel like Gray is the outcast here since his name doesn't end in "i" What: Eiji tries get Tsuzuki to forgive him When: Current works... Where: Cafeteria Rating: PG to PG13 for Gray's mouth
Eiji had just come from his daily 5 mile run and just had a shower as well. He was famished considering he'd spent the afternoon studying for his latest ramp of tests and assignments and whatnot. He was surprised at how difficult it was here compared to Seigaku.
Oh well, nothing a good meal and hitting the hay early couldn't fix.
Tsuzuki sat down at one of the tables in the corner and immediately set about eating his desserts. He hadn't even noticed Eiji coming upstairs into the cafeteria.
Eiji entered the cafeteria as he looked over the selections when he looked at one particular reflection in the glass window then glanced over his shoulder to see Tsuzuki hauling away at some cookies and other various sweets.
Eiji sighed. He missed his friend terribly, and he regretted that incident from that might, but the other had told him he'd best to stay away, but...he couldn't and he would make the other listen to reason.
They were all stuck there for the time being, and whatever time he had with the friends he made...he wanted it to be good. And for that...it would start with him.
Tsuzuki was still totally oblivious to Eiji's arrival. Unlike his "friend" he'd almost forgotten about their fight on the beach. While he still remembered it and felt the pain of it, he'd shoved it to the back of his mind where he put every other time something similar had happened. He'd gone through a lot of partners... so that memory certainly wasn't lonely. He continued popping pieces of cake into his mouth, trying to decide which one he liked best. So far it wasn't looking good. The devil's food cake was just as good as the marble!
"Eh?" Tsuzuki asked as he glanced up. He'd been through this before. He'd accept it the same way he always did. He'd smile and pretend like nothing was the matter at all, wish the other luck, and disappear as soon as possible. It was the best way to do things. Tsuzuki gave Eiji that normal, warm smile that typically hid his pain. "Yes, but the cafe is better."
Eiji might have athletic eyes, but that didn't mean he couldn't see other things as well.
Without even asking, he went and sat down opposite of him. "So, which classes are you taking?" he asked casually as he picked up his sandwich and took a bite.
"Economics, religion, biology, and magic," he told Eiji. He was trying to keep the conversation to a minimum, and so far it was working. Eventually Eiji would get bored or he'd finish his cake and be able to leave without being rude.
Eiji chewed thoughtfully still watching Tsuzuki's expression. He would not get away as easily as he had before.
"Hmm, nya, I have Physics, Chemistry, Home Ec and Computer Systems Technology. We have yet to do any experiments in Chemistry, but I'm looking forward to seeing if anyone makes a mistake, but hopefully not one that'll make the who lab go boom, nya..." he laughed. "Those are pretty much the same classes I'm taking at Seigaku right now in additon to an advanced lit and algebra class" he said.
"Uh huh," Tsuzuki stated, once again keeping things to a minimum. He finished off his last piece of cake and then tossed the last cookie into his mouth. That done, his plate was empty. He gave Eiji another one of those "everything is okay" smiles and stood up. "I better go back to my room now. I failed the last quiz, so I've got to study a bit more."
Tsuzuki stopped, but didn't turn around. He didn't even turn partway to look at Eiji. "I'm not lying to you, Kikumaru. I had hiccups consistently for three days because I failed that quiz."
Tsuzuki watched him, his eyes showing nothing. "No, I don't, Kikumaru. I haven't lied to you since you came over today. I've told you nothing but the truth." The only person he ever lied to was himself. Nobody else. Sometimes others got dragged into that lie to himself, but it didn't happen too often.
Tsuzuki gave him a smile, but this one was a touch colder than usual. "How would I know? Maybe you're just not thinking straight?" He shook his head and brushed past Eiji.
