Linali barely noticed the twin coming into her room, she was so lost in thought. With her chin resting on her arms she stared out the window and thought hard about what had happened, and what Sebastian had said to her. She was dressed to go exercise and even had her shoes on, but had lost herself to thought.
"Riku-chan! Oh, sorry. I'm ready to go when you are." She tilted her head at her friend. "Do you think we could go to the athletics building? They have something called a heavy bag there that I read about, that I can train a little bit on. Is that okay?"
"Yeah, they do..." Riku had a frown plastered on her face as she moved closer to Linali and sat down beside her friend. "Linali, what's wrong?" She asked, pulling her hat down a little over her ears.
"Are you sure you want to go, Linali? We can go another time." She tried to give her friend a smile. "You don't look very ok, Linali. You look like you're busy thinking."
"I'm fine, honest. There's just a lot on my mind right now. If I sit here and wallow in all of it I'll be a lot worse. It'll be good to pound on my frustrations on an inanimate object. Let's go, please?" Linali gave her friend a ridiculous pleading look before smiling.
"Fine, fine.." Riku noticed that Snow was making her leisurely way into the room, giving a little yawn that ended up with a high pitched little sound. She stretched her back out and mrowed for Yun-qi.
Meanwhile, Riku was up and trying to help Linali get out of the chair she was in. "Let's get going then. Snow'll probably stay in here since that's where Yun-qi is..."
Yun-qi, who was curled up on the windowsill as close to his mistress as possible, lifted his head at Snow's call, letting out his own "nya!" in return. Linali gave him a smile and a nod as she stood up, ready to follow Riku out of the room. He hopped down and rubbed against Snow, licking her cheek and purring.
"Okay, I'm ready." Linali made sure her door was locked before moving down the hall with her friend.
Snow nudged Yun-qi over so that she could play-wrestle with him on the floor while Riku led Linali out. Once outside of the suite, Riku gave Linali another smile. "Let's go find a punching bag and get some anger out! I'm sick of being stuck in this stupid dorm with all the mopey people..."
Linali nodded in return, opening the door for her friend and shivering at the cold wind coming in. "I can understand that. Some people just don't deal with death well." Linali had seen so much of it in her lifetime... but that didn't make it a whole lot easier.
"Yeah, I guess so..." She braced herself against the wind and hunched over, growning. "Uuugh! I hate the cold!" But even so, she'd run in this if she got the chance. Of course, a punching bag was more practical since it could be hung inside, but not even snow would stop Riku from at least attempting to run.
The cold didn't effect Linali nearly as much; having lived in England most of her life, she was used to it. "The cold is awful," she agreed, shivering. "But the inside of the Athletics Building isn't bad, especially once you get a sweat worked up." She was really looking forward to beating some of her frustrations out. The girls made their way swiftly across campus; Linali threw open the door to the Athletics Building, letting Riku go ahead of her.
((Now that I think about it, they could have gone through the tunnels... xDDD))
She rushed into the building, thankful for the heating system there. Shivering, she flexed her toes and her fingers to get her body warm again. "Uuughhh, I hate the cold. On the way back, let's try and take the tunnel, ok? We can get sick pretty easily if we go back through the cold."
Linali shivered and nodded; the last thing she needed was to get sick after being injured for so long. "It looks like we go this way," she said, pointing to a nearby sign and leading the way. "Thanks for coming here with me, Riku-chan. We can go running after we finish in here if you want to."
"Oh, no, I can get as much of my energy out on a punching bag as I can when I run." She smiled to Linali, teeth chattering, as she moved and slipped her arm into her friend's arm, linking them together so that they could stay a little warmer.
"We can run when it gets warmer. That's a better idea..."
Linali nodded; she was right, of course. "Well, okay then. I've never used one of these things before so it should be fun." Her training had been against new akuma, who had been incredibly difficult to defeat at first. With a smile, she tightened her grip on her friend's arm. "I'm really glad we're doing this. We haven't just hung out in a long time."
((Sorry for the lateness! I'm not ignoring you, I'm just really dumb. xDDD Feel free to smack me on AIM, okay? <3))
"I agree! We need spend more time together, but Atemu is always taking up your time." She gave Linali a good-natured smile, seeming to think the girl and Atemu were getting closer and closer, even if she hated admitting it.
Soon, they'd reached the building and she opened the door, ushering Linali in through. "Let's get inside! It's really cold!"
Linali blushed brightly at the mention of Atem, and decided it was best to just tell Riku what was going on. "Um, Riku-chan, I have something to tell you. The reason we're spending so much time together... Atem and I are... dating now." She looked away, totally embarrassed at having said it out loud like that.
