The office was strangely quiet for once.
Not that it was ever particularly noisy, but those attuned to the sense of magic would normally notice a sort of "hum", an underlying current of power. There was the sensation that it was a busy place, even when Yuuko was evidently doing nothing more than enjoying a drink on her divan.
But today the hum was subdued, almost silent. It was almost as if the office were sleeping. The abnormally long entrance hallway seemed shorter than usual, and for the first time in a long while, Maru and Moro were nowhere to be seen.
Sakura pulled the Japanese screen door to the side and entered Yuuko's office. This place had a familiar feel to it. She looked around for the Dimensional Witch. In her mind, her troubles were bothering her. And lately, she had entered trances more frequently.
"Yuuko-san, I'm here."
The witch stood as Sakura entered and approached the young girl with a slight smile. "Welcome, Sakura-chan. How are you feeling?"
