Who: Rhyme and Beat When: The day Beat get's back from being lost Where: Meeting in Girls' Dorms Lobby then moving to get food What: Reunited siblings Rating: PG-13 at least for Beat's mouth
Very soon was an understatement. Within seconds of Rhyme reaching the lobby, the loud noise of a high-speed skateboard hailed through the air. The bulldozer of a teenager jumped up the front step, grabbing his board out of the air and landing on his feet as he thrust open the doors of the girl's dorms with great fervor, blue eyes immediately scanning for the matching ones of his little sister
( ... )
She should have realized he'd be on his board even inside of a building. Such was Beat. She didn't mind, though. Rhyme was one to accept others for exactly how they were and learn to coexist well with just how they are naturally.
The grin was indeed infectious because Rhyme wore a matching grin the instant she saw her brother. She was only able to move forward about two steps before Beat had picked her up and hugged her as if she weighed the same as a feather. She couldn't help but laugh as her hands instantly wrapped around Beat's neck in a hug. "I'm so glad you're not hurt too! You could have really gotten hurt in the woods with splinters and bugs and poison ivy."
She felt him sit her down on the ground but instantly she looked up at him again, the bright smile she tended to wear still on her lips. "Sure. There's a cafe just a little bit away where we can get you a big meal and you can go to town. Wanna go there?"
And Beat, well, he couldn't stand waiting. He hadn't ever been one for patience. It was far from one of his virtues, and was actually more of a weakness to him. And so, upon the mentioning of the location, the blond reached down and, once again, picked up his sister. He jumped onto his skateboard and went right out the doors, maneuvering to put her on his back. "Point th' way, lil' sis!" He cheered, excited beyond belief.
Rhyme's laughter echoed down the hallway. Beat was such a live wire that it was hard not to be affected by his positive or negative attitudes. Clutching tightly around his neck to make sure she stayed put, Rhyme expertly navigated.
She had easily studied the map and knew exactly where they were going. "Take a right up here and you'll go two big doors that lead outside. From there, take a left and keep going straight until I tell you to turn, ok?"
