Who: Riku (DN Angel), Riku (Kingdom Hearts), OPEN What: Sports club's first meeting Where: Just outside of the dorms/various places on campus When: Saturday, 11 am. Rating: PG
Luckily, not many people looked as though they were there to run. Riku lifted her head to search the crowd once more, sighing. She wished she'd asked for a description of what he looked like, because she didn't want to confuse him with someone else.
Riku sighed and had almost moved to sit down when she noticed that there was someone who looked like he could be willing to work out. She waved over at him to test and see if he was looking for someone. If not, she'd just duck around a corner and pretend not to see him to try and avoid being embarrassed.
Riku grinned, relieved to see that he had not only 'recognized' her, in a way, but had jogged up to her. She smiled up at him, lifting her hand to brush a piece of her short hair out of her face. When he spoke their shared name, she couldn't help but smile a little more, a small laugh coming from her.
"Yeah, that's me! And you're Riku, too? Well, at least it'll be easy to remember each other's name." Riku lifted a hand up to him, to shake his if he should accept.
Shaking his hand, she noticed that he seemed very awkward about the whole thing. Maybe he as from somewhere they didn't shake hands? She'd recently gotten that idea, since she normally would have bowed, but this was slightly informal and there shouldn't be any formalities between them.
"Yeah, I think so...but if you'd rather split, then that's fine. I'm going to send out another message asking about if anyone wants to join us. I mean, at least now we could be running partners or play a one-on-one sport?"
((I'm not sure if you saw it or not, but there's replies for you on here, just under new comments. Take your time if you need to, I just wanted to make sure you saw the replies.))
"No need!" Linali poked her head out from the door to the girls' dormitories and gave the Rikus a smile. "I figured I'd give this a try. It's not really any kind of training I've ever done, so I'm in your care, Riku-sensei." Clad in her Exorcist uniform, skirt, cross, boots, and all she stepped out into the sunlight.
Rku was more than happy to see Linali. She didn't want her athletics club to be a failure, so she was ecstatic to see Linali. "Hey! Didn't think you would be here, but thanks for coming!"
She noticed the girl was still in her skirt and tilted her head a little. "Um..Linali, do you train at him in skirts? I have a pair of shorts you could borrow.." It caught her off guard that Linali was still suited up completely, but she remembered the girl saying she usually never got out of her boots and supposed that she viewed her clothing in the same way.
"Ehhh.... I didn't even think about it really," Linali said sheepishly, tugging at the hem of her skirt. "I'm fine though. I trained and fought in this outfit at home. Next time I'll wear shorts though."
She smiled at the silent boy. "You must be Riku-kun. That's how I'll keep you separated. Riku-chan and Riku-kun. I'm Linali Li by the way."
"So a race it is? I think a race sounds great! You guys pick the ending point and whoever gets their last...treats the others to a snack after? That sounds like a good choice, right? And we can make a tradition of it!" Riku suggested, nodding to both of them.
"Or, unless you guys have different ideas of what we should do. Throw out an idea if you have one, Linali."
"Sounds like a plan!" She started to stretch out a little and grinned broadly at the Rikus. "This would be a warm-up, right?"
Linali shielded her eyes and pointed out a gnarled looking tree about 200 or so yards away. "How about that tree? Oh, and just so you know, I discovered smoothies the other day and I'm quite fond of strawberry mango, Riku-chan."
"Yeah, this could be a warm up but what would you want to do after? We could head in and get swim suits then to swimming in the ocean or we could look around for a soccer ball or a basket ball.."
She glanced down to see where Linali had picked, nodding at the adequate distance. From there to the tree and back would be a nice start-up run. It would get them moving, get their heart rates up, and it would be a good warm up (although stopping to go get swim suits would almost make this warm up a little...needless.
