Fakir entered, spotting Ahiru right away. He walked quickly over to the table and sat across from her, not quite smiling.

Ahiru frowned as she studied Fakir's expression. She couldn't quite tell if he was happy to be there or not. It never was easy to tell.

"Hi Fakir!" she said, louder than necessary. "Hungry?"

He started back a bit at the volume of her tone, but his smile came out a bit more. It was so like her. "I guess. How are you?"

Ah, a bit of a smile, that was better. Ahiru relaxed and smiled back at him. "I'm alright," she told him. "I had a nice to visiting with Risa yesterday."

"I saw," he said. "...Is she feeling better?" he asked politely.

[duck_dancer]

"Yep!" Ahiru nodded. "I think we're going to meet sometime this weekend."

The smile widened ever so slightly. Of course she would be making friends. "...I'm glad you're doing well."

[duck_dancer]

"What about you?" Ahiru asked, curiously. "Have you met anyone on campus?"

"...Yes." Met? Yes. Really talked to...not so much.

[duck_dancer]

"That great!" Ahiru said enthusiastically. "Who have you met?"

"...the people in the drama club, and Edgar." He frowned briefly. "I think Edgar might have left, though." He hadn't seen his roommate in over a day, and he recalled it being mentioned that someone else had left a while back.

[duck_dancer]

"He did?" Ahriu said, looking a bit dissapointed. "That's too bad. He seemed nice."

However, Ahiru smiled at the mention of the drama club. "You went to the drama club? I missed the first meeting, but I'm hoping to go next time!"

He had seemed somewhat shallow to Fakir, but the boy wasn't going to mention that. Ahiru had always taken a sunny view of everything she could. And...maybe that wasn't bad.

"Yes, I...thought maybe...I should be involved. In something." And it was something he was at least marginally familiar with.

"That's great!" Ahiru cheered. She was so glad to hear that Fakir was trying to do things on campus. She had been a little worried that he would stay hauled up in his room most of the time they were there.

"It'll be lots of fun, don't you think Fakir?"

Fun? Well, it was something to do, at least. He hadn't really been thinking about fun.

"...I guess it could be."
