Well today I had training, on my day off no less, so I can teach two and three year olds. Joy! The training was funny, there always seems to be some amount of laughing when you have six adults in a room acting silly and seeing the funny side to most things.
The classes I will have to teach in the future are 40 minutes long and it is non stop talking and movement from start to finish, so who needs a gym. There is also lot of jumping and crouching so right now I am riddled with cramps and my hips and knees are in pain. I have never moved so much at once, it is a miracle I can walk.
Another thing on the work front, we received a letter in the mail about things we need to remember with winter coming, one of these included a short paragraph on fire saftey. It read like this.
Familiarize yourself with the location of the fire extinguisher/exits in your apartment block. Your interphone may have an emergency button on it, which you should press in the event of an emergency.
If a fire does occur and you are unable to put it out shout "Kaji! Kaji!" ("Fire! Fire!"), alert your neighbors by knocking on their
Mind you we are now wondering what it is we are supposed to be knocking on.
The rest of the day was spent in a small town called Hara which I pass through every day on my way to work. Dominic tagged along to keep me company. The temples there were nice, not as large as some of the others I have been to, but interesting none the less. After we got back I cooked Chicken in Oyster Sauce for us and we played cribbage, I won two games to one, skunking him on both occasions. I enjoy Dominic's company, he is a nice guy and good to talk to about things. He is fast becoming a good friend.
