I just finished the MtYG crossover stories and I feel compelled to share my delight: I can't pick my favorite story because they're all more than worth an immediate read!
Okay, maybe that's a bit of a lie, because I do have an obvious favorite, and not just because it was written for me:
There's Some Holiday Spirits (In Your Coffee). It's a Kevin/JC AU and simply put it's just one of those utterly brilliant stories that hits all the right notes, and then some. I'm pretty sure I told my wonderful Santa it was an impossibly perfect story. And it so is. ♥
But there's so much more popslash goodness in this category alone, there's the lovely
Two Doors with a most intriguing premise, to name but one thing, and then we have
Something like you, which perfectly captures the things that once made me fall in love with popslash (I'm all about the easy banter and apparent love between all these boys). But let's not forget
(Not) Dying to meet you which boasts, among many other things, a rather irresistible Kevin. And while I would love to share my favorite bit from the glorious
let nothing you dismay, I definitely don't want to spoil the surprise. But I have a feeling most of you will know it when you read it. Last, but by no means least, is the epic
A Fairy Tale of Two Cities, not something I'd normally read, and now I feel as though my life would not have been complete had I not read it. And if that doesn't make you go and read it, like, right now, I don't know what will.
In short, if you don't know where to start your reading this year: the crossover stories come highly recommended.
