Author's Note: Written for < lj user="fuda_100">'s "history". Featuring a pre-canon Tsuzuki during World War II.
They called the war an effort to expand the Empire: so many young soldiers heading off to claim the islands in the Pacific and part of the continent in the name of the Emperor. So many falling in battle, so many shinigami mobilized to guide them into their next life. Tsuzuki knew they did so to follow their orders and honor their country, but it seemed so pointless, even for the Americans and Australians, fighting back to defend their lands, though they had every reason for this response. Couldn't someone negotiate a fair compromise that didn't cost so many lives?
