I liked the way you combined the obvious spookiness of the a haunted house and an angry spirit with the odd line of humor ("In the meantime, I wonder if they'll give us dinner here.") And Saki really came across for me as a reader - I could tell what he was feeling and why he was feeling it!

:: Chuckles:: Yeah, Yami no Matsuei is like that, particularly in the manga version: scary moments and weird atmosphere can be relieved by a bit of wry humor.

Saki is a tricky character to write, since he only has a couple of lines and the rest of the time, he's talked about (or talked *at*), but he has a profound effect on the plot, and I'm glad I was able to carry his personality across so well! Thanks for the kind words!
