[Black Jewels series] (PG-13)
Author's Note: Written for Black Jewels Novels, Saetan, Zuulaman This ended up involving the RP version of Saetan whom I play at carpe_ho_ras, and something that crossed my mind whilst reading "Zuulaman"...
Saetan had thought the library at the Keep had every book that could possibly exist in the three Realms. But the library here, at this place which his daughter and so many other call "the Mansion, had more books that he could imagine, even in his fifty-thousand years of existing. He found tales from dozens of realms and accounts of histories from worlds of which he had never would have heard, had he not wandered into this place.
Nothing escaped his curiosity, including the tales of the true but improbable and what people called the supernatural and unexplained, including an account of a people of Earth known as the Anasazi, a tribe that had advanced from a peaceful, primitive people, to a powerful clan...but who had vanished from the face of their world, leaving only mysterious traces, their pottery and the writings on the walls of their cave dwellings.
A memory rose in his mind, a country that had vanished as well, with not a trace left behind, not a scrap of pottery or a jot of writing. Not even in the books or the minds of people living beyond its boundaries. Only he remembered it, for he had been the one to erase it from Terrielle's map...
