I Still Know (What You Did Last Summer)

Older song I've been working on for a while.

You say it's just the rent that's got you stressed
But I think it's the fact that you've got no one to split it with

But I could be wrong.

You have restless dreams, you can't lie still
I think it's the new double bed you still can't seem to fill

And I could be wrong, but I'm not

Because I still know what her voice sounds like
It's just that all I ever hear it say is "goodbye"
And I will try my best to get her off my mind
But, hell, everyone knows I'll be dining (drinking, sleeping) alone tonight

I've been watching the world through big white shades these days
I blame the sun, you blame my hangover headaches

But you could be wrong.

And I've been watching the world through my rearview these days
You say I'm looking towards the past, I say I'm just driving safe

And you could be wrong, but you're not

When she called me up to let me down
She couldn't find the strength to show her face
So I told myself that I never needed her anyway
All I really loved was the chase
But I could have been wrong...
