This is my busy time of year. Lots of people sending it home.
I'm helping a woman put a poster in a triangular tube, there are
several other people in the store, and another woman comes in and
says, "Is this Send It Home"?
Yes, I say
I have some boxes I need weighed, she says, but I'm not shipping them.
I'll have to charge you, I say
You charge to weigh things? she asks
You're not shipping them? I ask,
No, she say, not here.
Why not? I ask
"because I have my own UPS account and I get better rates." She answers.
I'm sorry, I can't help you, I say.
and she walks out...angry.
The woman whose poster I was packing said, "You did the right thing!"
I'm sorry, but I can't spend my time, when I'm busy doing free stuff for cheap people. I need to make a living!
