Grades, Waterloo, et al.

Well, I got my official transcript for my first semester today...and I missed Honours standing by 0.02 GPA points (= 0.5%). I got an 89.5% average...honours is a 90%. I was kinda pissed that I missed by such a slim margin, but it's going to fire me up to get it this semester. I had one class last semester that I didn't like and didn't really try all that hard (well, it was more the fact that the entire class did horrendously on ALL of his tests). Fortunately, all my profs seem to know what they're trying to teach this semester (as opposed to the prof that could not inspire us to "learn" false information), so that's going to be a bit better.

As for my thoughts of heading to Waterloo for my Reading week, I just need to talk to work to make sure I can get the time off. Thanks to Diana for volunteering a place to crash...that's 2 different places (my brother's still there, so w00t on that too!) I can potentially crash. For those of you that are in Waterloo, things I'm thinking that'd be fun to do:
  • Morty's for wings and beer (there's no real good wing place in Ottawa...at least that I've found)
  • Sloss' Beerloquium. I've read all the abstracts and I'm really interested in sitting in on one (ok...more than one, but time will only allow for one).
  • Huether dinner. Anyone that wants to join in on that, I'm TOTALLY game!
  • BUBBLE TEA! I've not had a great bubble tea since leaving Waterloo...and Sweet Dreams is OUTSTANDING!
  • Kick Off. For beer and food...I miss it!
Anyone that wants to join in on ANY (or all :O) of these, I'd SO be game for that!
