So here is my bi-yearly update :)

I am doing really well with work. I get my bonus in a few weeks, which should be a good one. Combine that with a nice tax return that we are expecting, February is easily my favorite month of the year.

Home life is a bit stressful, not for bad reasons, but the wife was out of work for 11 months, and now she has a job that at first started out good, but went down hill really fast. She's working for a small company, and it is obvious the people running it are pretty clueless. So there is a lot of stress at work, and of course she wants to quit. I have actually told her to quit if she wants, and we will get by, but she doesn't want to. She would rather work a shitty job and just keep looking for something else. The crap part is that she comes home every day in an awful mood, and guess who has to deal with it? *sigh

But once she calms down things are better, and we make sure to have lots of fun on the weekends to make up for it. In Feb 2011, we are planning a 3 week trip to Africa, and are going to climb Kilimanjaro. So we do need her income to help pay for that trip. Even though it is year away, we are already busy planning, which keeps us excited. So far our savings is ahead of schedule, so that is also good. It also includes a 6 day safari after we do the climb. It's the trip of a lifetime and I cannot wait!

We are getting back into triathlons this year. It's amazing what you can do when there are 2 incomes in the house, and you have no kids. Our big race will be the half-ironman in September. We start training in March once the weather is nicer.

That's it, nothing terribly exciting.
