Oopsy
So I made a big mistake. I shopped online for maternity clothes. :-S
Not that I need them yet, but they had some really cute stuff on clearance at Motherhood.com, a site suggested by a friend who recently bought a buttload of maternity wear for herself. I made the mistake of making a wish list (so far of just the shirts I've gone through and liked) that comes to about $200 or so! I think I'm gonna end up asking for gift certificates from my mom for my birthday since she was going to pick me up some maternity clothes for that. And maybe I can talk Ben into letting me pick up a few. I can't find anything local that I like except at Target, and that's a SMALL maternity department in GF. :( Everywhere else here is sooo pricy (*cough*Herbergers and Penny's*cough*). I can't justify spending $30 on a shirt I'll wear for 6-8 months. Jeans maybe since I wear those constantly and for a couple days as long as they don't get too dirty...but not a sleeveless shirt. *shakes head* So maybe I'll brave internet clothing. I know it could suck if the sizes are off, but they have such cute stuff! We need a new maternity store here, all we have is a second hand, which I have no problem with, but they never have very nice stuff when I go in. How one can wear something out so badly in 10 months is beyond me. ;) Mine are all in great condition from Em...but they're too small and too warm for a summer pregnancy. :(
Last time I was nervous when I started to show since it was my first pregnancy (and I had always been pretty slim, so I was afraid I'd look like a whale)...this time I'm excited for it. *bounces*
*sigh* I know...oy with the babbling already...;)
EDIT 1:50pm: *snorts pop out her nose* The grand total was $611.54 once I was done drooling. I guess that's why they call it a wish list. :) I realize this won't happen (wouldn't if it could cuz that's FAR too much to spend on clothing to be worn for less than a year) but I'm hoping to pick up a few things once I've shmoozed talked to Ben and put in my birthday request. :D And now I'm back to drooling over baby stuff at BabiesRUs. :D We'll be broke by the time Bud is born! ;)
