Tidings of confort and joy?
I've been listening to holiday music on my iPod and wearing antlers. I'm trying to get in the more in the mood.
I miss Gage, who was my sister Karine's boyfriend and my best friend for 5 years. He was the funnest at Christmas. He was so game to do anything. Play in the snow with the kids and play crazy family games. I know he misses us too, and this is our 3rd Christmas without him. He still has a stocking at our house, and I know he doesn't see his family at Christmas. He's a star in Europe now, and performing at the Bell Centre tonight with Corneille. He left me 4 tickets at the box office. He offered, but I wish I had money to buy them myself (or, you know, enough food this week). We need to encourage home-grown artists as much as possible, so they don't have to go to France for years before they have credibility. I remember my mom walking Gage, Corneille and Gardy into record companies here back when they were a group and them getting rejected because 'it was great but they didn't want to risk it'. Corneille eventually left the group, took the songs (that he wrote), recorded them, released in France and bang! Huge motha-fuckin' star.
Dumbasses.
My sister Sara owes me about 400$ for the Justin Timberlake tickets she had me buy, and 2 of my tennants haven't paid me, one of who hasn't finished paying me for last month either. Ugh! I hate being indebted and I hate, I hate, I hate (I want to say Peter Pan here, but that would be off-topic) when I have to indebt myself for other people who have money. I'm selling that house, after all the trouble I went through for it, after all the renovations and all the help my parents gave me. Unless you know someone who takes care of buildings, I can't do it anymore.
