Have You Heard the One About...
My wife and I are big college basketball fans, so the television has been tuned to hoops action throughout most of March. Last night we were watching the Ohio State / Kentucky game, and I don't think there was any point in the entire second half where either team got more than a five point lead. The game was intense and exciting.
Then during a pause on the court, CBS inserted a voiceover commercial where the play-by-play announcer spoke in soft, reverent tones about the coverage of The Masters*.
My wife turned to me with a disgusted look on her face. "That's just obnoxious ruining the mood of the game like that," she snapped. "It's just like thinking of your mother-in-law during sex!"
I just about fell out of my chair laughing.
*For those who don't know, it's a golf tournament.
