1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before? I worked as a cab driver for a month. I think that's about the craziest thing I've done in my life. I got baptized and became LDS and every minute of it rocks. But by far the major highlight of the year is having gotten married to the love of my life. He makes my life so complete and happy and I cherish every moment that I share with him.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn't make any resolutions for 2006, I had a lot of defining to do in my life at the moment and I think I did a pretty good job choosing to get to the place where I am now. For some reason I knew that 2006 was going to be the year I got married... and I did!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? One of my best friend's from high school, Tatiana, gave birth to her second daughter on the same date a year later from her first. (Sept 30)

4. Did anyone close to you die? Yes, my mom's brother, Jose Manuel

5. What countries did you visit? I lived in two countries last year, Mexico and USA

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? Maybe having a baby? But I think we're not ready financially yet.... so maybe just a new job. I feel I need a new laboral activity.

7. What day from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? There are two dates, July 31st and November 29th. The first one made me extremely sad and even though I know someday it will be fixed, every time I think about it, it breaks my heart. The second one of course, the happiest day of my life.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? It's hard to choose just one thing, but I think being baptized really marked the way for the entire year and of course the rest of my life.

9. What was your biggest failure? July 31st.... I still don't know if it was a failure or simply a trial.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I got some spots on my skin, which the doctor insists is cutaneous lupus, about a month before the wedding. I think it's an allergy, but then again.... four months later, I still have them.

11. What was the best thing you bought? hahahaha... it sounds way cheesey, but my 3 month membership to e-harmony.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration? Greg moving down to Mexico despite his not speaking any Spanish. He's got an amazing will power, even greater brains, and thank God, so much love for me that he's picking it up very quickly.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? A really good friend of mine lied to me about something unimportant at the beginning of the year, and she really hurt me. After that it took us a while to become somewhat close again.

14. Where did most of your money go? A bunch of recipe books and wedding planning books and magazines. The worst part is they're all in Georgia, and I still haven't been able to even get them picked up. I need them in Mexico!!!!!

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Greg coming down to Mexico. Both times. And our first kiss... *sigh*

16. What song will always remind you of 2006? Atlanta times: Gnarls Barkley - Crazy, Dixie Chicks - Cowboy take me away, Veggie Tales - Hairbrush Song. Mexico times: My humps (don't even know who sings it, but my students sing it all the time) Greg: Dixie Chicks - Lullaby, George Strait - The seashores of old Mexico

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. Happier or sadder? Way happier
ii. Thinner or fatter? I'd like to say thinner, but I think it's the other way around.
iii. richer or poorer? Quoting an old friend "I'm rich in spirit, but my pocket is broke"

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Saved money, gone to the gym more, spent more quality time with my little bro, traveled, cooked... and yes, prayed.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Wasted time doing nothing

20. How will you be spending Christmas? I pray that we'll do it in Craig.

21. Did you fall in love in 2006? Oh boy, did I fall!

22. How many one-night stands? um....

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006? I wore a lot more skirts than usual.

33. What kept you sane? Greg, friends, family and music. Can't say work has helped much in that sense.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Can't think of one really

36. Who did you miss? My bro and Greg when we were apart

37. Who was the best new person you met? Greg, Ashley, Ana, Diana, Curtis, Kim, Crystal, Missy J, Mom and Dad Jones

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006: Even if you're afraid of losing everything, telling the truth is best. Lying can only take you to worse places.

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
She loved her gringo, my red hair and lingo
