I hate boxing day.
It's filled with annoying people who feel entitled to get a refund.
Last year was a nightmare at blockbuster and I can only imagine how bad it is going to be this year.
Last year a customer tried to get a refund on a 50 dollar gift card.
First of all, the customer didn't have a receipt.
Second, when we tried to check the current balance of the gift card it came up as insufficient funds.
Lastly, the customer starts throwing a fit about how she had never even used the gift card.
When we pointed out on the gift card that after a certain amount of time the gift card becomes invalid, the customer started yelling about how the person who sold her the gift card never mentioned it.
When we told her that it was clearly written on the back she continues to harp on the fact that she was never told.
The policy on the gift card was after 24 months of consecutive non-use 2 dollars is taken from the account every month until funds are depleted.
That means either the customer had already used all the funds or it had been over 4 years since the card had been used.
CONSUMER AWARENESS PEOPLE
I am really not looking forward to tomorrow.
