always longer than expected...
It always takes me longer than expected to submit a paper. I upload, then realize that stupid MS Word has screwed up the formatting of an equation or turned it into a picture that doesn't upload. Then I have to open that file and fix it. But, every time I open a file, one more piece of equation seems to get corrupted, so it's really a weird race to fix them and stay 1-edit ahead.
This time I found a pair of references that were wrong and then a place where I'd meant to add a piece of information and had left "Day X" which is not cool. But, that meant fixing another equation that broke.
So, what should have been a 10-minute process has been about 40.
I'm now downloading the 6th copy of the process, I think I've finally fixed everything. Ugh.
I'm at a level of attention to detail that I'm not sure I have. My minions didn't screw up either because I added the line after they read it.
