I'm reading my review and trying to figure out what to do. The first comment that I'm supposed to deal with:
the author have to justify their intuitive choice "to cut out" examples and to study them specifically, separately, as other researcher give to exercises for instance a greater influence on learning?
>>>
That is, why study the examples that an instructor presents in class, why not study the exercises that students do? Then, the reviewer notes that I have included some of the exercises that students do in my study.

I spent 1.5 pages explaining the supposed pedagogical value of examples, apparently that was insufficient.
