Grotto over Oak definitely had me thinking "WTF?"...
I also think you need another Giant or two to make your Greathearts better, or at least run the Stalactite you left in your board, probably over your Veteran, which doesn't seem to fit.
The point of the Grotto was to play the Mulldrifter. I thought the difference between having 2 and 3 blue sources for the Mulldrifter was larger than the difference between Cloudcrown Oak and some other 4-drop I had in a very aggressive deck (where the Reach ability was not important). In the end, the Fertile Grounds really weren't good... I didn't quite realize just how bad they'd be at the time. Passing the Oak didn't affect much... the 4-drops I ran are all at least like 90% as good as the Oak in this sort of deck, and I really didn't want more 4-drops as I already had a couple sitting on the bench. I'm not convinced that a difficult-to-cast 3/4 attacker is significantly better than a 3/3 attacker that gets bigger every turn. If I did run the Mulldrifter, the difference between having 2 and 3 sources is pretty significant
( ... )
I don't understand how you are making so many bold statements when things such as pick order and drafting in general is extremely subjective. I realize the point of draftcapping is so we can offer advice and be critical, but you don't have sound like a jerk.
