It was less the Americanisms, more the general style (which may actually include said Americanisms without my being aware of it). And the smuttage of course. I have zero objections to the smuttage; just not used to your writing it yet. On a related note, once we're done watching all the Firefly eps, I can go back and actually read your FF stories and have actual context.
