I know what you mean about the grapes.

The landlord from the first place we lived in, back in Connecticut, kept a small garden in his backyard. He had concord grape vines because he bottled his own wine, and he'd sometimes give us surplus grapes. They were tart and powerfully flavored, and while they were certainly something of an acquired taste after growing up on anemic seedless grapes, I've never had anything before or since quite like it.

But what I really miss is the fig tree.

It was, in fact. :) I like getting to spend time with other people who have kids, and I love having the kids play with new people.

Grapes are funny. I like how they taste too but I like strawberries and bananas better.

I like a blend. I've been in mangoes lately, though I think that's a fascination about to end.

It's enough to almost make me want to push for a return of the Victory Gardens. But the weird nationalism associated with them makes me twitch.

Girlchild has a crush? aww!

And yay for fun memories. I love when I taste something that's similiar to my mom's home cooking.

In preschool, there was a little boy who brought her flowers. This is a disturbing trend.
